How do I refinance my truck and get it put in my name?
It's pretty simple. You're smart for wanting to do that too. Here's what you do...call your finance company and tell them what you want to do. They will ask for your last 12 payments(which they already know). They just want you to provide the doentation. They will then refinance it in your name for a small fee. Not much really. The trick is, to refinance at the same payment you already have and for no longer than whatever the terms are left. For example...you bought a truck for $10K financed for 48 months, paid on it a year and the new balance is $9500(Interest is always paid first thats why it's still $9500). You now owe 36 payments. Try to refinance for 36 months and keep your same payment. It can be done with as little as .5% less APR.
