Does It Necessarily Follow That If You Are "Intelligent" That You Should Do "Well" In Life, or Be "Prosperous"?
For the issue of IQ & suicide, I don't think "awareness" is the issue at all. Ghandi may not have been an academic genius, but was probably more socially aware than Hemingway himself. I think people with the higher IQ's hold themselves to a different standard than "average" people. It sounds like you think IQ should be directly correlated to financial success. With you not being satisfied with where you are, that's where the depression comes from, and depression manifest suicidal thoughts. You've already stated that you're mentally holding yourself back. So part of the solution is to try to find happiness within. Not trying to sound like a hippie or anything, but wealth and women aren't directly linked to MY happiness. And for you to put both of those in your question, that must be what is supposed to make you happy. I'm not exactly in the same boat as you, but I can relate. I've been told everything you have, and I was on my way to graduating college but dropped out with 26 hours left. I had all the plans and goals, and now I've been recently laid off from work at a machine shop. The difference is, I enjoy the company of family and friends a lot more than the "tired" women I've dealt with. Try basket weaving or something, lol.
