What's it like in Northern England?

i'm a northerner, from teesside but now living near to newcastle. best people in the world! i lived in es for awhile and never settled there, the people were un-friendly compared to us up north. there are some beautiful places here, the north yorks moors, northumberland and the lakes. it is slower paced and people have more time for each other. if you were stuck with anything a northerner would help you. once you start to drive you and your mam should have a drive up north and experience it. scotland is beautiful too. don't tell anyone what i've said we want the southerners to stay down south ;) except you and ya mam of course.
