Is fertile cervical mucus ALWAYS stretchy?

I should ovulate this week - my hubbie and I have BD'd every day and we intend to for a few days. My CM became so wet and abundant but not stretchy (it doesn't always). It was clear and there was a ton of it. Now it's becom a bit cloudy but still quite a bit. Do you think I've now past ovulation? I did have a tiny bit of cramping about 3 days ago (just one evening on the one side). Sometimes my get very sensitive but I haven't had that... (don't always). What do you think? I'm not going to buy an OPK now b/c I'm most likely past it - I'm just wondering what you THINK... thanks for your help!!
