What are the main differences between U.S. R&S and U.K. R&S?

I'm just checking it out and have noticed how tame the insults really are. I swear to God, a Brit said to another, "If you were my husband, I would poison your tea!" And he responded, "Madam, if I were your husband, I would drink it!"
