Alligator Snapper Turtle?

I keep her out of water all day and she sleeps under rags. I put her in water once a day until it gets cold. Could this kill her?? And her eyes get a glossy coating over them to where she can't see until i put her in water and they go away, and stay away for maybe 1/2 an hour PLS HELP!
