Should I drop down to a general diploma?

I plan to attend the private college, Sullivan University, and I'm thinking about graduating high school at midterm this year so I can work more to be able to pay for college. If I graduate midterm, I have to drop from a core 40 to a general diploma, since economy is a required cl only offered second semester. I'd like some input and advice anybody may have. Please and thank you.
